LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LAX)

NORTH COMPLEX INBOARD RUNWAY 24L/6R CLOSURE

October 21, 2024 to October 24, 2024

84-Hour Closure

On Monday October 21, 2024, LAX will close inboard runway 24L/6R on the north runway complex to conduct several construction projects.  Runway 24L/6R is closed continuously for 84 hours from Monday, October 21 at 12:30 AM to Thursday, October 24 at 4:30 PM.

Persons living near LAX may notice a change in aircraft flight activity and noise during the closure of Runway 24L/6R as more aircraft are expected to use the north outboard runway (24R/6L) for departure and arrival operations.  In addition, some aircraft operations may shift from the north to the south runway complex.

During 12 AM - 6:30AM, the FAA is deviating from Over-Ocean Operations due to the closure of both runways on the north complex as previous mentioned in this notice. With the north complex being closed at night, aircraft will be using only the south runway complex for arrival and departure operations.  .

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this extended closure.
