LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LAX)

SOUTH COMPLEX OUTBOARD RUNWAY 24R/6L CLOSURE

May 31, 2025
12:30 AM – 1 PM

LAX will temporarily close the north outboard runway (24R/6L) for maintenance on Saturday, May 31 from 12:30 AM to 1 PM.

Persons living near LAX may notice a change in aircraft flight activity and noise during the closure of Runway 24R/6L as aircraft that normally land on the north outboard runway (24R/6L) will instead land on the north inboard runway (24L/6R). In addition, some aircraft operations may shift from the north to the south runway complex.

The FAA plans to continue conducting Over-Ocean Operations at LAX between 12 AM and 6:30 AM on this date if weather and other operational conditions permit.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this temporary situation.
