'LAX AT HOME' CONNECTS AIRPORT, COMMUNITY AS ANGELENOS STAY SAFER AT HOME

(Los Angeles, CA) As communities throughout California and the world fight the spread of COVID-19 by staying safer at home and avoiding non-essential travel, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) continues to engage our communities – from the youngest to the oldest – with activities that are perfect for avid travelers.

Since most people are staying home, we are bringing LAX into their homes, with a variety of engaging, educational and fun activities and content that capture the spirit of LAX during a time when most people can't physically visit the airport. From virtual tours of our award-winning art program, to video visits with our Pets Unstressing Passengers (PUPs), to games and coloring activities, there is something for everyone.

Here's a look at what's available now and ongoing as part of LAX At Home.

'LAX PUPs at Home' Video Series Keeps in Touch with Therapy Dogs at Home

All of LAX's volunteers are staying safer at home, and our LAX Pets Unstressing Passengers (PUP) canine teams are no exception. For now, our PUPs and their handlers are connecting with people at home, providing updates on how they are spending their time and gearing up for visiting the airport again. LAX Pups at Home videos are available on our Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube platforms. New content is being added weekly. Click on the image above to meet Klaus!

'LAX Art at Home' Celebrates Artists Showcased at LAX

The Los Angeles area is home to some of the most creative people in the world, and LAX is home to a collection of innovative and powerful public art. A new video series called "LAX Art at Home" interviews some of the newest artists at LAX and gives viewers a deeper look at the process and meaning behind art now on display inside LAX terminals. LA-based artist Luciana Abait is the first to appear in this occasional series and talks about her mixed-media exhibit, "A Letter to the Future," which is currently on view in Terminal 7 until fall of 2020. Airport Love Playlists Long For Traveling Again, Celebrate LAX Destinations
Music and airplanes both help connect the world, so LAX has created a number of playlists designed to help reconnect us with the many places that we can't visit right now. These playlists, called Airport Love, are available on Spotify. New playlists will be uploaded on LAX social media sites as they are released.
